Our revolutionary, drug-free approach is geared toward the creative thinking strengths of individuals with dyslexic-learning styles.  It combines specific techniques that resolve perceptual problems and attention focusing issues with a method for mastering sight words and improving reading fluency and comprehension.         

Children and adults can learn to recognize and control the mental state that leads to distorted and confused perceptions of letters, words and numerals. Instead of relying on repetition, phonics, drill and memorization we focus on the talents of the dyslexic learning style. Our hands-on, visual and meaning-based approach leads to more rapid progress then traditional instruction.         

There are alternatives to getting past the barriers in learning.  We offer real strategies to improve reading comprehension; strategies for getting the words you're thinking written down on paper, improved self-confidence and so much more!

The Davis Dyslexia Correction Program is a two-stage process.  The first stage is a five day program running Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 4:00.  The program is geared toward children and adults from age eight on up.This is an intensive program of individual counseling and guidance that breaks down major learning barriers.  Results are often dramatic with noticeable reading improvements.

The second stage is practice and implementation of the Davis Correction methods at home beginning with a systematic program of clay modeling.

All Programs provide the tools that get to the root of language-based learning difficulties by working with creativity and imagination.  Short breaks for rest, relaxation and celebration aid in the learning process.  Lunch is from noon until 1:00.  Children attending the Program need an adult available during lunch time.. evolutionary ApproachnPoint

Support training is provided on Friday for parents, teachers and others who will assist the client in the home-study portion of the Program.  We provide all the tools so you and your child can continue the success of the Program at home!

The Davis Reading Program for Young Learners is provided for children ages 5 up to 8 years of age. Studies suggest that children exposed to Davis methods are significantly more likely to qualify for gifted education programs. Attention Deficit Disorder As a person's perception of time changes, physical strength and stamina can also change. The person whose internal clock moves faster seems to live two or three minutes compared to the actual minute that occurs. Not only does he have more time, he has greater strength and stamina. The world goes too slowly for him and he goes too fast for everyone else. Behavioral problems can result.

Drug-free

Davis Dyslexia programs include specific tools for self-regulating attention focus and energy level.  Mental focusing and energy control techniques enable children and adults to work and study without reliance on medications commonly prescribed for ADHD. These tools allow motivated students to assume responsibility for regulating their own behavior.

Math Mastery

Davis Math Mastery: Visual-spatial thinkers are often confused by the words and symbols which describe math functions.  When the foundation concepts for understanding all mathematics are mastered, learning math becomes easy! Math difficulties, dyscalculia, often accompany dyslexia and ADD symptoms.

The time needed for a Math Mastery program depends on the needs of the client.  A Math Student Manual & Workbook and Barron's Mathematics Study Dictionary are included (along with additional materials all based on previous Programs.)
